The Odor Removal Process

We have managed to simplify the remediation process from start to finish, entirely taking the burden off of you and your family.

  • An initial assessment is conducted when you contact us.

Our representatives are sympathetic, compassionate, and understanding in all situations. Rest assured that your call will be handled professionally, even if you are unsure of the source of the odor. When you call, be prepared to describe the smell and location. A technician may ask you to take pictures. If the odor is potentially hazardous, we can have a team dispatched to your location within the same day.

  • We'll collect your information and send a SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).

A representative will walk you through the process when you contact us. But as a general run down, in the first step will ask questions and for photos of the property and damages to generate an insurance estimate and prep the team with necessary equipment and supplies for their arrival. We’ll ask questions such as the square footage of the home and how long the body (or decomposition matter) was unattended to assess the full scope of the situation. Once all this information is collected, we’ll begin to craft a SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) document that you will read and authorize prior to beginning the cleanup.

  • Once all information is confirmed and verified, a crew is dispatched.

Our crews arrive in unmarked vans in appropriate PPE with necessary cleaning equipment and supplies. We’ll enter the home and take more photos, including photos of any additional hazards not previously seen. Any additional hazards will be explained to you and added to the SOP or Standard Operating Procedure document.

  • The affected areas are disinfected and cleaned.

Harmful house odors, like traces of an improper decomposition cleanup, require professional assessment. Our professionally licensed biohazard remediation team is trained to test for traces of decomposition and professionally disinfect the affected areas. We treat the areas of your home as if we were treating our own. Aerosols risk the possibility of extending contamination throughout the area, so instead, we use sprays registered by the EPA. We use hospital-grade disinfectants registered by the EPA. Our sprays are free of ammonia, petrochemicals, and synthetic fragrances. Our disinfectant is powerful and remains active in organic material, leaving no surface residue, unlike other disinfectants.

  • Areas are then restored and sanitized (again).

Safety is the #1 priority of our workers and customers. Depending on the home’s condition and how long the decomposition has been left to seep, certain areas may require demolition to test and treat. Using photos taken in the initial assessment, the technicians restore areas back to their original condition prior to contamination. The area is then retested. Once passing, all debris is removed, and all work areas are disinfected.

Permanent Toxic Odor Removal

When odors become overwhelming, they commonly become toxic as well. Whether it’s an animal decomposing, bodily fluids, or rotting food – dangerous pathogens can be airborne and inhaled. If you have a lingering smell on your property, residential or industrial, that you can’t get rid of, or if you’ve pinpointed the exact source of the smell, our decontamination specialists can locate the origin and eliminate any risks associated with it.
